The To Hell And Back Club by Jill Hannah Anderson ~ 5⭐

Genre: Women’s Friendship Fiction ~ Released: July 19, 2022

REVIEW: My favorite author list is growing like gang busters! My second book by Jill Hannah Anderson was The To Hell and Back Club. I loved it just as much as the first book I read by her if not more! It was so good, y’all. This is actually the first book she published and is being re-released with a new cover and a few touch ups. I’ve been in a bit of a funk and reading slump this year and this was a breath of fresh air for me.

This book drew me in with the first page. Let me tell you Peyton Brooks has one of the rudest husbands I know. That caught my attention right off the bat! I don’t think I would have taken his attitude as well as she did but, that is just me. Anyway, they are empty nesters and have never really loved each other and stayed together for the kids. That same day she loses her three best friends in a car accident. She was supposed to be with them. This was all in the first little bit of the book. Wow! What a book.

The characters were so in depth. Even the friends who died. Peyton spends a lot of time thinking about them and talking to them in her thoughts and even goes to talk to them in the cemetary. That is how we get to know them so well. As Peyton is introduced to The To Hell and Back Club, we get to watch her pull her bootstraps up and get her life straightened out. Man, is she a strong woman. The women in the club have all been through hell and help her to find her way back.

The author deals with so many subjects in this book. From mistakes Peyton made as a young woman to mistakes her children are making and everyone else around her. Ms Anderson handles the hurdles with respect and care. This is one of those books I couldn’t put down once I started it. I did wind up reading it in two days. Now, I’m going to read the next book by her called A Little Town Called Love. It is actually book number two but, I understand it is not a continuation of the first story. I had to force myself to stop and write a few reviews and get caught up before allowing my self the pleasure of getting lost in Jill Hannah Anderson’s next book.

Happy Reading! Don’t forget to support the authors you read by leaving a review.

SYNOPSIS: Peyton Brooks is devastated when she loses her three best friends in a car crash. Only random happenstance saved her from being in the car with them.

Grief and loneliness push her to reach out for help, and she finds it in supportive women from the To-Hell-and-Back Club. These been-there-survived-that women use their sense of humor, experience, and perseverance to remind Peyton it’s never too late to start over.

As Peyton uncovers secrets about her deceased friends, she struggles to keep her own life-changing bombshell buried. When her secret is discovered, Peyton will need the “Hell Club” women more than ever.
