REVIEW: No Funny Business by Hilary Grossman is her new Novella. It is actually kind of a prequel to Go On, Girl. I really enjoyed this novella and immediately sent a note to Hilary asking if she was continuing the story because I wanted more. You know me, I’m Miss More on the commercial on TV that is always wanting more. When I find a good series, I’m in for the long haul and this book was only a taste.
It is about Kara and Jonathan and how their relationship started. If you have read these books, Kara and Jonathan bought Craig and Sydney’s house when they left Forest River. I enjoyed getting to learn how these two got together and a little bit about what happened.
This is one of those relationships that should have never gotten started in the first place because Jonathan was Kara’s employer. Those usually don’t go well. I can’t tell you too much of what happens because the book is very short and I don’t want to ruin all the fun for you.
If you’ve read any of the Forest River PTA Mom’s books, you will want to grab this one and spend a quiet evening by the fire reading all the continuing drama that takes place. I am not a mom but I have enjoyed the antics of the women in the PTA. Oh my goodness they think the world revolves around the PTA. If you are in for a few laughs and a little get away from everyday life, check out these books. Hilary Grossman has a way to make you laugh and forget your own problems. Unless of course you belong to a PTA like the one in Forest River! Until next time…Happy Reading!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
SYNOPSIS: One of these days I’m really going to get myself into trouble…. And today might be that day!
You see, I have a terrible habit. Or maybe it’s more of a guilty pleasure… I love to eavesdrop.
Until now, I’ve only listened in on strangers’ conversations. But tonight, the focus of my curiosity is my billionaire boss—the super sexy man I’ve been crushing on since my first interview.
And Jonathan’s not having any old normal conversation… He just got dumped!
I know I should mind my own business and pretend I didn’t see or hear anything. But then I’d miss out on a rare opportunity to see him outside of the office.
Will this be corporate suicide or my one and only chance to get him to notice me?
REVIEW: I just had to go back and read Go On, Girl by Hilary Grossman after reading No Funny Business. Kara and Jonathan appeared way back in that book which was the first book in the Forest River PTA Mom’s series. The only one I hadn’t read. Hilary and I met when I started reviewing her books. The first book I read was book two, Mom Genes. I kept busy with reviewing and never seemed to find the time to go back and read Go On, Girl.
I’m glad I had the time this month to go back and read that first book because it was something I needed to read. Sydney and Craig are gearing up to leave Forest River and it will be after her first year on the PTA. They have been offered the deal of a lifetime from Kara and Jonathan for their home. They couldn’t pass it up. Sydney is like me in that she has become attached to her home that they put blood, sweat and tears into remodeling. Now, she has to leave. I have struggled with that lately and I needed to learn how she put it all into perspective.
In Go On, Girl you meet all of the main characters and get to know them and some of the things that have happened to cause drama in all of their lives. Let me tell you that the drama is not all sad and unhappy. Some of it is hilarious! I always love a book that will make me laugh out loud. Don’t you?
I think you will love the Forest River PTA Mom’s series. It will make you laugh and cry right along with the characters. These ladies will show you a good time. Now is the time to get your copy of No Funny Business and then go all the way back to book one Go On, Girl and binge read the whole series. You won’t be bored! Until next time…Happy Reading!

SYNOPSIS: Big Little Lies meets Class Mom!
Executive, wife, and mother of an outgoing first-grader, Sydney Clayton crushes her day-to-day obligations at work but flounders in the cutthroat world of parental politics.
She manages to avoid the local drama until she’s faced with an ultimatum: join the Forest River PTA or risk her daughter becoming a social outcast. Sydney reluctantly becomes treasurer, and takes the recently vacated position of the president’s sidekick. If protecting the children’s freedom of speech, one best friend ban at a time, isn’t complicated enough, Sydney and her husband receive an unexpected offer for their house they don’t think they can refuse.
Embroiled in the deception and manipulation rife among the elementary school moms, Sydney struggles. Should she sell the home she worked so hard to build in a town where betrayal runs rampant? Or should she stay put to avoid the fallout from uprooting her child? As Sydney focuses on what is best for her daughter, and lets go of her judgments, she finds friendship can develop in very unexpected ways.
Warm, witty, and wise, Go On, Girl dramatizes the dilemmas of life in the suburbs and the bonds shared by women.
“Hilary Grossman knocked it out of the park with her fourth novel. Go On, Girl is filled with humor and heart.” – Meredith Schorr – Best Selling Author of The Boyfriend Swap and The Blogger Girl Series
Nice review.
I’ve not read these. Not even heard of this author that I can remember.
