REVIEW:

Hello My Book Friends!

I am so excited to bring a beautiful children’s book to you today! It is Vinnie Rook and the Moonmire Fireflies by Stevie Michelle Kimbrough. I took one look at the cover of this book and fell in love with it. The cover is an example of the illustrations you will see inside this wonderful book.

As an adult, I will be reading this book more than once. It’s a fairytale fantasy that I know I will remember for a long time. Vinnie Rook is the main character and he goes on an exploration one night and finds more than he ever expected. I enjoyed the characters that he came across and the adventure that he enjoyed.

I think most children will be very enchanted with this story. It is very well written in the author’s own voice. The artwork is beautiful and I can’t stop looking at it. It is imaginative and the nighttime is captured by more than a dark page. I can’t believe how well executed this book is.

If you have children, grandchildren or young ones in your life, you will be doing not only the children, but yourself, a favor by picking up this book. I’m so excited to think of all the children and elders who will be enjoying this book long into the future.

This book deserves a special spot on every child’s nightstand. It is so beautiful. Go grab a copy of Vinnie Rook and the Moonmire Fireflies by Stevie Michelle Kimbrough! You won’t be sorry.
As always, Happy Reading!

SYNOPSIS:

Some places are easy to forget.

Moonmire isn’t one of them.

Nestled deep within the Louisiana swamps, where riverboats drift through the fog, jazz music floats through the evening air, and fireflies sparkle under the moonlight, lives a curious boy named Vinnie Rook.

“Most people saw junk. Vinnie saw stories waiting to be told.”

In a town where old stories are whispered and every path seems to hide a mystery, Vinnie can’t help but wonder what secrets are still waiting to be uncovered.

And perhaps that’s exactly why…

the fireflies came looking for him.
